I would encourage young black girls to try and keep talking until someone listens, because someone eventually will.

⁠I think adultification as a child is so hard to identify especially when you are in the moment. It can often be identified when you become an adult.

I try and find ways to nurture my inner child by finding joy in small things that make me happy…

In the aspects you can control, try to be as childlike as you can as you’re a child for 18 years then after that it’s the real real adulting. 

Even if you do know what to do, still remind them that you are not an adult.
